‎IPPIS: Senate President, ASUU in closed door meeting

 

‎In a bid to find a way out of the protracted dispute between the federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities ((ASUU), the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, is currently holding a crucial meeting behind with the leadership of the the union.

ASUU President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi led his officials to the meeting.

The meeting, which is holding behind closed doors, also has the principal officers of the Senate in attendance.

‎It was learnt that the meeting is discussing the alternative designed by ASUU to the Integrated Personnel Payroll System by the Federal Government for the payment of civil servants’ salaries.‎

The Federal Government recently declared that is will not pay any University staff not captured in the IPPIS payment schedule.
