The Senate has commenced its annual vacation and will resume proceedings on September 15.
The upper legislative chamber adjourned plenary after an extended sitting on Thursday.
Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, however said the various committees of the Senate would be working during the vacation.
According to him, the committees will be available to attend to urgent matters that require their attention.
Lawan directed the Senate Committee on Finance to liaise with the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed, to prepare the 2021 appropriation Bill.
