The association, in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, condemned the kidnapping and described it as a disturbing attack on education, learning, and the future of Nigerian children.
The statement was jointly signed by NAPPS National President, Dr. Samira Jibir, and National Secretary, Dr. Kayode Adeyemi.
‘A Barbaric Attack on Education’
NAPPS said it stands firmly with the victims, their families, and affected communities, stressing that schools should remain safe spaces for teaching and learning.
According to the association, the abduction of teachers and pupils represents a serious threat to educational development and should be treated as a national emergency.
The group condemned the incident in strong terms, describing it as a barbaric act that has left parents, teachers, and school proprietors deeply worried.
Call for Immediate Rescue Operation
The association appealed to the Federal Government, Oyo State Government, security agencies, and all relevant stakeholders to intensify efforts aimed at securing the immediate release of the kidnapped victims.
NAPPS stressed that every available resource should be deployed to ensure the safe return of those still being held captive.
The association warned that prolonged delays could further heighten fears among parents and disrupt educational activities in affected communities.
Commends Ogbomoso School Owners
NAPPS also praised its members in the Ogbomoso District of Oyo State for their solidarity and commitment following the incident.
According to the association, several private schools in the district temporarily shut down operations while organising prayers and advocacy efforts for the safe release of the abducted teachers and pupils.
The group described the response as a demonstration of unity within the education sector during a difficult period.
Commitment to Continued Advocacy
The association disclosed that it remains actively engaged with government officials, security agencies, and other stakeholders in efforts to secure the victims’ freedom.
NAPPS pledged to continue consultations and lawful advocacy initiatives aimed at improving security around schools and protecting learners nationwide.
It also reiterated its commitment to supporting policies and actions that promote safer learning environments across Nigeria.

The association urged authorities at all levels to take decisive measures to tackle insecurity and prevent further attacks on schools.
