Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, has tested negative for COVID-19.
Fayemi, who is also chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, announced his recovery from the disease on Twitter on Saturday morning.
He expressed appreciation to all those who wished him well after he contracted the disease
The tweet read, “After 11 days in isolation, I received news that my CoviD 19 repeat test came back negative.
“My sincere gratitude goes to God Almighty, my family, my medical team and all well wishers for the prayers and solidarity. We must continue to do all we can to tackle the pandemic. JKF”.

The governors of Abia and Ebonyi states, Okezie Ikpeazu and Dave Umahi, respectively, also recently announced their recovery from the disease.
Till date, 43,151 cases have been confirmed in the country, out of which 19,565 have been discharged, while 879 deaths were recorded.
