Fresh from his victory in the Edo State governorship election, Governor Godwin Obaseki has blasted the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the party’s former national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
Obaseki, in a programme on Arise TV on Tuesday, said the positions held by Tinubu and Oshiomhole in the APC were not constitutional.
The governor, who left the APC for the Peoples Democratic Party, explained that during his days in he APC, he was surprised that ‘someone’ was being referred to as party leader.
“Tinubu and Oshiomhole are not constitutional actors. I was surprised when I was in the APC, that someone was described as party leader.
“It is out of respect, but it does not give constitutional roles.
“They try to overlord themselves over people that have constitutional authority.” he said.
