BOOT Party Faults Tinubu Over Rising Insecurity After Oyo Kidnap Incident
Opposition party says worsening insecurity and attacks across the country show the Federal Government needs a new security strategy.

The party urged the government to adopt new security measures and called on Nigerians to remain vigilant amid growing concerns over safety nationwide.
ABUJA — The Because Of Our Tomorrow (BOOT) Party has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration over the worsening security situation in the country following the recent kidnapping of 39 students and seven teachers in Ahoro Esinele community, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The attack, which also reportedly led to the killing of one of the teachers, has sparked renewed concerns over insecurity and the safety of citizens across Nigeria.
Speaking on the development, the National Chairman of the BOOT Party, Sonny Adenuga, accused the Federal Government of failing to adequately address security challenges nearly three years after assuming office.
Adenuga expressed concern over the increasing incidents of killings, kidnappings and attacks across the country, urging Nigerians to remain vigilant in order to protect themselves and their communities.
According to him, insecurity has continued to affect daily life, economic activities and the movement of citizens, especially during festive periods when many Nigerians wish to travel to their hometowns.
He argued that several communities across the country remain under threat from armed groups and criminal elements, making residents fearful about their safety.
The BOOT Party chairman also called on the government to review and strengthen its security approach, stressing the need for more effective and practical strategies to tackle terrorism, banditry and violent crimes.
He maintained that insecurity has far-reaching consequences on food production, transportation and the overall cost of living, particularly for farmers and rural communities.
Adenuga further advised the Federal Government to engage security experts and adopt tested global strategies capable of improving intelligence gathering, response mechanisms and the protection of lives and property across the country.
