Nigeria records 453 new COVID-19 cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 453 new COVID-19 infections in the country.
With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total of 46, 140 cases so far.
The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows the Federal Capital Territory taking the lead with 75 cases, while Lagos trailed with 71 cases.
Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Saturday August 8, 2020 are contained below:

The realse further showed that a total of 33, 044 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded a total of 942 deaths.
