#EndSARS: Armed thugs converge on Eagle Square, security beefed up at Presidential Villa gate

‎Armed thugs converged on the Eagle Square located at the Three-Arm Zone in the Federal Capital Territory on Tuesday evening as the #EndSARS protests assumed a violent dimension. ‎

The thugs were seen wielding sticks and walking around the Eagle Square.

Also, heavily armed policemen and soldiers have been deployed around the gate of the presidential villa.

Security was also beefed up around the Three Arms Zone axis, which includes the Federal Secretariat, the Court of Appeal and the Force Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force.

Violence broke out around Kabusa-Apo mechanic village in Apo district of the FCT in the early hours of Tuesday. There are reports that some people were killed in the incident. ‎

It was also gathered that some persons lost their lives in Dutse, a satellite town in the FCT, when thugs attacked protesters on Tuesday.

Also, security operatives have mounted roadblocks in major areas of the FCT, including AYA, Lugbe, Kuje, Soka, and Airport road.‎
