According to him, the announcement represented the summary of all valid votes recorded during the exercise.

Declaring the result, the returning officer stated that Governor Alia satisfied the party’s constitutional and electoral requirements and was therefore returned as the APC governorship candidate.

Reacting to his victory, Governor Alia expressed appreciation to party members and supporters, describing the outcome as a renewed vote of confidence in his leadership and administration.

“I am an uncommon ideologist. I am for the masses, and I will remain with the masses,” the governor said.

He also commended fellow aspirants for participating in what he described as a peaceful and democratic process and urged party members to remain united.
