Nigeria records 453 new Covid-19 cases, total now 47, 743

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total 453 new Covid-19 infections in the country.

The the latest number, Nigeria has now recorded a total of 47,743 confirmed cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure release by NCDC via its verified twitter handle shows Lagos State leading the pack with 113 cases, while the Federal Capital Territory trailed with 72 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 are contained below:

The release further showed that a total of 33,943 persons have been discharged, while the country had recorded 956 deaths.
