Nigeria records 410 new COVID-19 cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 410 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 49, 895 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos state leading with 210 cases, while the Federal Capital Territory trailed with 45 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Tuesday August 18, 2020 are contained below:

The release further showed that a total of 37, 051 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 981 deaths so far.
