Health workers demand more COVID-19 testing, isolation centres in FCT‎

‎The National Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals has urged the Federal Capital Territory Administration to establish more COVID-19 testing and isolation centres in the FCT. ‎

‎National President of NUAHP, Dr. Obinna Ogbonna,‎ made the call during the inauguration of the FCTA chapter on Thursday in Abuja.

Ogbonna commended the FCTA for providing Personal Protective Equipment and other allowances for health workers.

However, he said there was a need for more COVID – 19 testing and isolation centres in the FCT. ‎

“I request that other incentives that would boost the morale of our members as they discharge their duties should be put in place.

“More testing molecular laboratories and isolation centres should be put in place in our various designated hospitals,” he said.

Ogbonna equally advised all frontline health workers to stay safe while discharging their duties.
