Plateau leads as Nigeria records 252 new COVID-19 infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 252 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 52, 800 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Plateau state leading with 50 cases, while Enugu state trailed with 35 cases. Lagos places a distant fourth with 26 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Tuesday August 25, 2020 are contained below:

The release further showed that a total of 39, 964 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 1,007 deaths so far.
