Former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (Retd) has assured Nigerians that the current security challenge in the country is summountable if all hands are on deck.
The Former Military leader who midwived the current democractic dispensation in 1999 asked Nigerians to keep hope alive as security agencies are working tirelessly towards bringing an end to the current security challenges bedeviling the country.
General Abdulsalami who was in the news this week for allegations linking him to bandatry and terrorist groups in the Country, but vehemently denied the allegations said Nigeria will come out of the present situation stronger and more united if all segments discard paroachial sentiments.
The Former Military head of state spoke shortly after the Eid prayers at the Minna praying ground after performing the two rakaats prayer for Eid el fitr.
General Abdulsalami Abubakar urged Nigerians to keep praying for the Country and hoping that the solution to this problem is very close and that the problem would soon be overcome and became history.
But to achieve this, the Former Head of State maintained that there is the need for Nigerians to support security forces who are out there helping the nation to enable them succeed.
He further called on Nigerians irrespective tribe and Religion to pursue collective efforts in the fight against crime however applauded security agencies, Federal and states government as well as other stakeholders for there efforts aimed at the restoration of peace in Nigeria.
The Eid-el-Fitr celebration in Minna was low key as it was devoid of the normal fanfare as the State government ban Sallah durbar and the usual get together in major fun parks.
