Eid-el-Fitr: FFS Boss cautions against dangers of fire

 

The Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Dr. Liman Ibrahim has cautioned Muslim faithful of the dangers associated with fire,

The Controller General, while felicitating with Muslims in the country on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr, in a statement on Thursday appealed to them to be safety cautious while celebrating to avoid fire incidents,

Ibrahim, while assuring the general public of the preparation and readiness of the Service to respond to any emergency during this period of the celebration, urged them to always call the emergency numbers of the Service 112/08032003557 in the case of any emergency.

The Controller General who congratulated the Muslim faithfuls on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast, however enjoined them to continue to sustain the spirit of kindness, love, tolerance and unity demonstrated in the holy month even beyond the celebration.

He commended them for their strict adherence to the Islamic injunctions by denying themselves of drinks and food during daytime throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

He however advised against unrestricted gathering at this period that COVID-19 is still very much with us and is ravaging the world, knowing the health implication of the spread of the Virus.

He called on members of the public to adhere strictly to COVID-19 protocols as provided for by the Presidential Task Force so as to have a safe celebration.
