Chief Of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, has convened a high level security meeting over the rising level of insecurity in the country.
Principal Staff Officers of the Nigerian Armed Forces and top army commanders are participating in the meeting, which is holding at the Army Headquarters in Abuja.
The General Officers Commanding of all the divisions of the Nigerian Army, commanders of the various army operations, unit commanders, commander, Guards Brigade, and other top officers are all involved in the parley.
The meeting is coming against the backdrop of the escalating violence and vandalism in different parts of the country.
The nation has been gripped by violence in the past one week with some hoodlums capitalising on the #EndSARS protests to attack and vandalise public and private property.
