Nigeria records 153 fresh COVID-19 infections

 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 153 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 59, 001 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos State recording 81 cases each while Rivers State trailed with 21 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Wednesday October 1, 2020 are contained below:

Ogun-8
Kaduna-7
Oyo-6
Akwa Ibom-5
Osun-3
Katsina-3
Edo-2
Ebonyi-2
Nasarawa-2
Plateau-1
Kano-1

The release further showed that a total of 50, 452 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 1,112 deaths so far.
