The new Commandant General of the Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi says the security challenges being faced by the nation demands that his men display professionalism and uncommon passion for the security of lives and property of Nigerians including the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure across the length and breadth of Nigeria.

Audi, who took the baton of leadership from Hillary Kelechi Madu who was at the helm in acting capacity for a month,
said: “My appointment as the Commandant General is coming at a time when the nation is passing through some security challenges; therefore, so much is expected of us at a time like this. We must explore our full potentials as a paramilitary agency of government and uphold the core values of NSCDC.”

He said he is not unaware of the great sacrifices men and officers of the Corps have made and still making to keep the flag of the Corps flying for the common good of all, adding that “some of you have even paid the supreme price while diligently serving your fatherland. You have indeed been epitome of hard work, perseverance and doggedness in the pursuit of your statutory responsibilities and I urge you to continue to maintain a high standard of self-restraint and competence.”
