Apparently in response to calls from several quarters for him to break his silence on the rampaging violence in parts of the country, President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to unveil workable strategies on how to possibly forestall the looming anarchy.

Violence had erupted in parts of the country following the hijack of the nationwide #EndSARS protests by hoodlums who have already continued to unleash mayhem on the citizens.

The President will make a national broadcast by 7pm on Tuesday following detailed briefing by security chiefs on the current situation in the country.

Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina in a statement urged all elevision, radio and other electronic media outlets to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria respectively for the broadcast.

Meanwhile, speaking to reporters shortly after the National Security Council meeting president over by the president at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (retd.) said the President will in the next couple of hours come up with possible solutions to the raging violence in parts of the country.

Although he did not disclose the nature of the solutions, he said they would be agreeable to all parties concerned.

He said, “The President himself, I have just left his office, is also going to deal with these issues in a specific manner apart from what has just taken place in council.
“I believe in the next couple of hours, Mr President will come up with certain solutions that will be agreeable to the entire federation.”
