The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 221 new COVID-19 infections in the country.
The country also recorded one additional death from the rampaging virus.
With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 56, 956 cases so far.
The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos State recording 59 cases while Abia state trailed with 46 cases.

The release further showed that a total of 48, 305 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 1,094 deaths so far.
