Nigeria records 125 new COVID-19 infections, 21 deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 125 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

The country also recorded 21 additional deaths from the rampaging virus.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 54, 588 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos state leading the pack with 42 cases, while FCT trailed with 25 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Thursday September 3, 2020 are contained below:

The release further showed that a total of 42, 627 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 1,048 deaths so far.
