Kwara Govt to partner Nigeria Navy to Improve Security

 

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has re-emphasised the importance of security to development and promised to partner the Nigerian Navy to secure the state.

The Governor stated this on Thursday while receiving the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Naval Training Command, Rear Admiral Frederick Ogu and his team.

Abdulrasaq who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Kayode Alabi, welcomed the team to the state and promised to partner with the Navy on innovative ways of boosting the security of lives and property.

Earlier in his remarks, Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Naval Training Command, Rear Admiral Ogu extended the good wishes of the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibot-Ete Ekwe Ibas to the Kwara Government for partnering with the Nigerian Navy College of Health Sciences, Offa.

Ogu, who is on a tour of ships and establishments, commended the relative peace experienced in state.

He added that the College of Health Sciences, Offa is projected to accommodate the good people of Kwara and not only Military Officers, in the shortest possible time.

Special Adviser on Security Matters to the Governor, Brig. Gen. Saliu Bello (Rtd) noted the School’s excellent support to Kwara, particularly during the Covid-19 lockdown in Offa.
