Guber poll: Edo Assembly Removes Deputy Speaker

Barely 24-hours after he declared support for the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 19 Governorship elections, the Deputy Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly; Hon. Yekini Idiaye has been impeached.
Idiaye was reportedly impeached on Wednesday during a plenary session of the Assembly in Benin City.

Details of the reasons for the impeachment were not clear as at press time but sources said it may not be unconnected with his decision to pitch tent with the opposition candidate.
