For allegedly violating COVID-19 directives banning interstate travels put in place to curb the spread of coronavirus, music star, Azeez Fashola aka, Naira Marley has been dragged before the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja.

Daily Tracker checks showed that the police filed charges against the music star based on the orders of the Inspector General of Police.

It could be recalled that the music star who is not a stranger to court appearances had flown in a chartered plane meant for a Lagos Judge to the Federal Capital Territory for a concert on Saturday, July 13.

The concert at the Jabi Lake Mall elicited public outcries with many who attended breaking protocols at the peak of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police command, Bala Elkana confirmed the appearance of Naira Marley in court.
