Nigeria records 437 new COVID-19 cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 437 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total of 46,577 confirmed cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos state leading the pack with 107 cases, while the Federal Capital Territory trailed with 91 cases

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Sunday August 9, 2020 are contained below:

46,577 confirmed

33,186 discharged

945 deaths

The release further showed that a total of 33, 186 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 945 deaths so far.
