Edo leads the pack as Nigeria records 556 new cases of Covid-19

Nigeria has recorded 556 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, bringing the total number of reported cases in the country to 36, 663.
The breakdown of the figures released by the NCDC on its verified Twitter handle shows Edo State pushing Lagos to a second position. While Edo topped the chart with 104 cases, Lagos got 97 cases.

Perhaps for the first time, no state from the South East zone recorded any covid-19 case on Sunday.

The release further shows that while a total of 15, 105 cases have been discharged, no fewer than 789 persons have lost their lives in the process.
