Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Kogi Central Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The affirmation exercise, which held simultaneously across the 57 wards in the district, recorded a large turnout of party members and supporters who endorsed her candidacy.
The process was later concluded at Kahal Cinema in Okene, where party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters gathered for the final collation of results.
Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and journalists were present to monitor the exercise, ensuring adherence to due electoral procedures.
Speaking after her emergence, Akpoti-Uduaghan expressed gratitude to party members, describing the outcome as a strong vote of confidence in her leadership and vision for the district.
She said the widespread turnout reflected the commitment of constituents to democratic participation and unity, adding that the exercise demonstrated a shared determination to strengthen development in Kogi Central.
The senator also pledged to continue representing the interests of her constituents effectively while maintaining close engagement with communities across the senatorial district.
