NYSC members to get tested for COVID-19 as camps reopen Nov 10‎

 

‎The National Youth Service Corps, on Thursday, announced that its 37 orientation camps across the country would reopen on November 10.

The camps were closed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The NYSC disclosed this in a statement by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Adenike Adeyemi.

Parts of the statement titled ‘Resumption of orientation programme’, said, “Sequel to the announcement by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Sunday Dare, on the resumption of the orientation course, the management of the NYSC wishes to announce that the programme shall commence across the 37 orientation camps of the scheme nationwide on Tuesday, November 12, 2020.”

Also, the National Coordinator, Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Dr. Sani Aliyu, said on Thursday that the PTF has developed guidelines with the NCDC and the NYSC for the reopening of the orientation camps on November 10, 2020.

According to him, the PTF has also arranged for additional safe bags to include the testing of all corps members and staff in the camps for COVID 19 prior to commencement of the orientation programmes.
