Nigeria records 212 fresh COVID-19 infections

 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 212 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 61, 194 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos State recording 85 cases each while Oyo State trailed with 72 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Friday October 16, 2020 are contained below:

The release further showed that a total of 52, 304 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 1,119 deaths so far.
