Nigeria records 126 fresh COVID-19 infections

 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 126 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 59, 127 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos State recording 62 cases each while Rivers State trailed with 22 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Friday October 2, 2020 are contained below:

Plateau-7
FCT-7
Osun-5
Kwara-5
Taraba-3
Bayelsa-2
Abia-2
Zamfara-1
Imo-1

The release further showed that a total of 50, 593 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 1,112 deaths so far.
